About the role

This full-time Admin Assistant – Civil Law role is a fantastic opportunity to provide high-quality administrative support to the Civil Law team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the office and supporting the delivery of legal services to the local community.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing strong administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence
  • Assisting with the preparation of legal documents, such as court filings and client communications
  • Maintaining electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Handling inquiries from clients and other stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service
  • Supporting the coordination of events, meetings, and other team activities
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of office processes and procedures

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in a legal or community services environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, showing cultural awareness with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • A commitment to providing high-quality service and a genuine interest in supporting the local community

Requirements 

  • A current NT Driver’s License
  • Ability to obtain a “Working with Children Clearance” (Ochre Card) upon commencement.
  • Satisfactory criminal history check
  • Ability to undertake overnight remote travel, and to work in all NAAJA offices.
