We currently have a vacancy for a Practice Manager in our busy Darwin Criminal Section.
The successful applicant will be a lawyer with at least 5 years post-admission experience in criminal law and proven experience in staff management. The successful applicant will, in consultation with the Managing Criminal Solicitor:
• Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Criminal Law Section;
• Implement comprehensive practice management procedures in the Criminal Law Section with particular emphasis on rostering, file allocation, and file/information management;
• Maintain a limited practice in criminal law with an emphasis on superior court appearances;
• Provide supervision and performance management of support staff, through team leaders.
It is essential that applicants have a demonstrated empathy and sensitivity to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, history and culture.
